Good call. Like you say, way too early to tell, though. If it does pan out, it is forming over a short period, so I doubt it would have significance to the long-term trend. Could mean a decline into the 60's, though. The long-term support line is around 64 today, so...

No. I don't feel ready to hedge yet. I think the 120's might be possible, which is the top of the trend channel (line across the January and September, 1997, highs. Three tops would be better, but it's parallel to the long-term support line, so it's credible.)

In any event, from my position it would make better sense to sell calls and capture the call premium rather than pay the put premium to someone else.
