Brian, interesting bar graph in that article you URL'd. The PC ones and entry level server one are almost all Intel. The mid and high end server bars are almost no Intel. Merced should take care of that. Actually, those graphs don't look right, (too short bars for mid and high end servers). Current Pentium Pro based SMP servers are really taking off, and they should be considered mid range. Deschutes based servers will eat away a lot more UNIX base and make the bar grow a lot this year. The way that bar graph looks, it looks like Intel could grow 40% (two out of five), if Deschutes and Merced really take off. However, of course, the overall market size for each of the five segments, is not equal.
