The most important development is the fact that IBM is moving to FC and has its plan in 1998 announced. At least we know what IBM is doing and when the FC momentum is going to be built-up from now on. Some of the early birds such as Sqnt, Storage Tk, SUN and a bunch of small FC companies have gone to Brocade. But the real force is behind the companies such as IBM, HP, CONPAQ, UNISIS, DATA GENERAL, EDS, etc.. Any of the above will be more than enough to make Ancor busy, but if Ancor can get a third of the above or even half of the above, we will see a growth skyrocketing.
