It is not just people on this thread who are buying RNTK.
That is one of the biggest differences, at least wrt to PEAFF

why i chose to buy into RNTK

first, i saw TM mention it on the TAVA thread-

then, i went to the RNTK thread and saw that many people from the TAVA thread were getting into RNTK; this was a major reason, since i have lurked tava for months and developed deep respect for for the thread and the people who contribute to it (even given all of the extensive cheerleading and tick watching)- this was enough for me to establish a substantial position at 1 1/4;

THEN, i did some reading on rentech, and the more i thought about it, the more i moved into the stock;

now i am wrestling with the timing of my sell orders (long term? or sell on the news)

i DO BELIEVE that this was foolish; I WAS LUCKY cause i followed the lead of a number of people i had respect for as they moved into RNTK-

i DO BELIEVE RNTK is an exception, a rare opportunity for big returns for the individual investor;

i also believe that information/knowledge sharing as occurs on these threads is the major equalizer for us versus the big investors;

finally, i am ALWAYS expecting that strangers on the thread (people who have no history in my investing experience) are hyping/trashing/pumping-dumping stocks for their own benefit and are out to take my money; it is only after watching and learning, about stocks and the people who talk about them, that i begin to respect an opinion and may make an effort (further research or even immediate purchase);

i have made money on TAVA, RNTK, RENT; i have lost money on ACNTF, GMTID, VIAS (out before today, thank goodness), CXI and am down on CMP right now; and MY LOSSES are all my fault, mostly, cuase i did not sell at the right time (the HARDEST decision);

i am not a TM disciple; i think he has interesting information and he has many connections, and i am responsible for any investment decisions i make based upon his or anyone else's recommendation, especially the "someone is gonna hold the bag big time, but not me" momentum plays;

finally, i completely ignore anyone who's ego precedes his words (and NEVER has an original idea) as much as some of the more immature posters on this thread;

good luck

la

< One day
Joe said today is RNTK day and we'll see it hit $5 or $20 when the
TX deal goes through.>

If you check the date picks postings on the RNTK thread, you will see that TM pick 4/6. Others have other ideas about this and have picked various other dates. I am going to make my pick as soon as the announcement is made. <g>

Best,
Charliss
