The crying towel is real, but not a towel: it is a Carlson On-line T-shirt. These highly distinctive T-shirts have only been given to certain selected people. When you see someone wearing one you'll know that they are either SI staff, Carlson staff, or someone who has separated themselves from their peers through their picks on this thread.
