Yes. Against the advice of one person I respect (insert smiley face here) I bought the portfolio late Wednesday. As of the close today I am up 2.47%, including a deduction for commissions.

Prior to close today I sold all of VRSN (down 8.40%) and all of EDFY (down 8.67%).

Biggest gainer over the last two days was CYBG (up 32.56%). I see they are doing quite well:

biz.yahoo.com
(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 1998-- CyberGuard Corporation (NASDAQ: CYBG - news), a leading provider of network security and electronic commerce solutions, today announced that its CyberGuard(tm) Firewall Release 4 enterprise security software solution has earned the prestigious Software Publishers Association 1998 Excellence in Software Award (''SPA Codie Award'') for the Best Network Security Product.

biz.yahoo.com
(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 2, 1998-- CyberGuard Corporation (NASDAQ:CYBG - news), a leading provider of network security and electronic commerce solutions, today announced that its OASIS eCommerce application won the ''Best of Class'' award for the Utilities, Energy and Telecommunications category for The Internet Open Program at the Internet Commerce Expo (ICE) in Boston last week.

I do consider these momentum stocks that you need to watch like a hawk. So I'm down the the e-comm 14....

I took some money off the table in NTBK, SEEK and even a little in CKFR. I am going to look at a number of things this weekend for the
cash generated. Also, bought some CYCH in the 16s.

Re: adjusting portfolio

How about selling 1/2 of a position where the price seems to have gotten ahead of itself, and adding to the laggards. (assuming that we still believe in the laggards). If the runners keep running, at least we still have some shares. If the slow ones pick up, we have more shares. Basically, this is a variation on $ cost averaging, which depending on ones point of view, is either conservative or prudent. While this may be too tame for this exercise, we have to adjust sometime.

RE: BVSN

At the Paine Webber Internet Conference a few weeks age, I attended the OMKT presentation. The speaker mentioned BVSN as a viable player in e-commerce. This was in response to a question about OMKTs competition, and he said that they had good products, but did not really compete with OMKTs. I don't remember the entire statement, but it was along that line.

Note - I own lots of OMKT, no BVSN.

I also own CYLK and SCUR in the security area. I think both will get more valuable as consolidation continues. Both seem to have good products and are takeover candidates as well.
