I think you called it right. People are confusing the situation at Viasoft (VIAS) with that at IAI. I heard over the weekend on CNNfn about how analysts see a slower than expected revenue stream for 'toolset' vendors versus services companies in Y2K. Unfortunately such reports make no distinction between regular tool-set vendors and vendors of translators like IAI. Translator vendors will receive some of that remediation monies supposedly going to services companies, because the translator does the remediation instead of people.

As well, IAI has captive niche markets and the support of CA who wrote the target languages.

Someone is out there selling for no reason!
