Don,

I am not long or short LVLT or QWST. I made my comments after watching in amazement how LVLT rose to $84 or so day of NASDAQ listing as LVLT.

Let me start by saying I work in telecom and I started following KIWT in December since the company I work for is "sort of like LVLT" and will be in the same town. <vbg>. I even bought some KIWT and watched it bounce around the BB and sold before big run-up. I guess one lives and learns, but you never know either. I saw value then but a little too risky for my taste.

Anyway, after working for the start-up in sales, I see that execution of the business plan of IP technology is not as easy as some people make it out to be. A lot of businesses are not comfortable with these new technologies and it takes a complete network and platform of products and services to truely compete with the Big Boys, not withstanding their numerous weaknesses. Also, Qwest's market cap is now about $8 Billion and LVLT's is above that!? Correct me if I am wrong.

Believe me I am no expert, but I see both of these companies as prime takeover candidates for the Big 4. I believe these guys, in the long run, are simply building networks for the current well capitalized industry leaders, T, GTE, BT, Duetshce, etc...

I could go on and on, and we can continue this discussion, but the last item that I believe is worriesome, is the Fed's ALREADY looking at taxation of IP based services. People thought this was coming but not already. I mean, by and large, people in the know are the only owns who know about these IP based products and services and the Feds are already in the fray trying to wreck it. This is worriesome and could derail IP based companies plans and competitive advantage.

In a nutshell, I am amazed at LVLT's market cap before they have even dug a hole or set-up shop in Denver. But Wallstreet and stocks will always confound me and many other people.

Happy Investing and Comments Welcome!!
