Indeed. Though the people who were the ultimate inspiration for it (there were many preludes) have turned out to be the best of neighbors.. and friends. They're a very devout non- denominational christian family that run an alcohol rehab retreat more-or-less around the corner from me here. Though we have deep theological differences, there is always a smile and an offer of a meal when I go round, and if it's too long between visits, they come roust me from my nest. Of course, the father preacher then asks when they'll see me in church next and I gotta shuffle my boots and say "awww, this Sunday, I reckon, sir." When I needed a home for one of our horses they were first to mind. The horse and the 16 yr. old who rides him have never been happier. They're a blessing to have, and I'm happy to say I think they feel the same about me. It can work. :)
