This stock could be a sleeper. The fastest growing segment of the PC business is the sub-$1,000 PCs (sub-$800 in some cases). This will put increasing pressure on the computer makers to to find ways to cut costs. One method would be to include low cost components (i.e, inexpensive modems, CD-ROMs, DVDs, etc.). Since NWCM is one of the lowest cost producers of these components, they could become a significant player in the sub-$1,000 PC business. They would need to convince the manufacturers that their products are reliable since nothing would kill an OEM relationship faster than defective products. This seems to be a perfect opportunity for a company like NWCM to capitalize on the sub-$1,000 PC business and also for the PC manufacturers to help maintain profits in the low end PCs by using NWCM products.

It appears that Convicted Felon has only a one month trial membership which will expire in about 12 days (4/16/98). He may not respond again. You would think that the money he seems to have made on NWCM would be used to subscribe to SI.
