Y2k_fan, it is important to distinguish between the severity of the problem and the market opportunity for TAVA. IMO, selling "how to" manuals is not a very large market. Other companies have tried this approach (for other segments of Y2K) with poor success.

You write: "Unless TAVA could not even identify the problem ...". In fact, TAVA does NOT have a tool to identify date problems in embedded systems. They offer a cookbook approach to locating problems and the cookbook is available on CD_ROM. How difficult is it to figure out how to test equipment for Y2K? Not very hard!

As far as outsourcing ... consulting is a low margin business and TAVA is talking about hiring 150 more engineers, if all goes well. This probably translates to about $15 Million in business, with low margins ... a nice addition, but not much compared to their market cap.
Regards, Bill

European Common Market Comment
On Monday March 30, 1998 I received a communication from a representative of the Patent Section of the Eoropean Common
Market. He and I have discussed the Y2k problem for the pass two months.
It appears very few key individuals are taking the Y2K problem seriously. they recognize there will be a few problems, but feel to many Americans are just trying to sell their services. They feel the problem is not that major???? Comment ( NIH Factor) Not Invented Here.
