John, I just sat on $18 bid to get filled on 2k shares. I never saw an ask below $18 today but it took perhaps an hour from when I put in my order and I saw a few up and down trades before mine filled. I rarely put in an order at the ask or at market but then also miss some good run-ups. Given exactly $60 commission on the buy and the same on the sell on 2 k shares (from Schwab), I could have made a profit of $5 buying at $18 and selling at $18 1/16. Enough for a hamburger with a big order of fries, but had I been using a real cheap on-line broker at $9.95 a trade for 2 k shares I could have made $105.10 for a grand meal for two (at least in Eugene OR). Of course it is my intention to sell these (next week?) somewhere above $19 or even better $20+.

Recently one could do that type of trading on Iomega several times a day. Today it traded 2,058,000 shares and ALL were at prices between 6 7/8 and 7. Of course, that stock overall is a disaster and one risks a sudden downfall to $5 or so and little current prospects of significant appreciation. Some day when I have the time I may try it for entertainment in my account with my cheaper broker (Discover). See if I can make something or lose my shirt.
