Funny Christine, I'm glad you finally believe children won't be starving if we cut the school lunch program. You are absolutely right though, I do believe that churches and private food banks would be the best long term solution.

The problem is...how do we get from a-b-c when every time someone says we should look for ways to cut costs of the program, people like Peter Jennings, formerly Christine Bartley, and so many others, start screaming that children are going to starve??

The answer...we can't, until people stop believing the ridiculous nonsense that there are people on the right who want to starve children.

The same points can be made regarding Medicaid, Social Security, and so many other wasteful government programs. As soon as someone mentions cutting costs and improving efficiency, Peter Jennings and company, along with too many Americans do not think, and instead react as you did to my original post and start screaming the "sky is falling" "children are going to starve you mean heartless cruel people!
