martin: I concur with your thoughts on both Valentine and my favorite VIPER. These "people" (no snide comments for Carl's sake) are 9 to 5ers who are having their strings pulled.
Everything they say is being recorded!!!!

In Canada it is ILLEGAL for an employee of a brokerage firm to post on the Internet. Check it out. If an employee of a company that is listed on the exchange does so I think most law firms would advise him not too if he is privy to inside information.

If Valentine or others are traders and are disseminating information on a stock as most brokers do over the phone anyway it is very thorny. The Exchanges in Canada have rules concerning this and they can lose their licence.

Frankly I think it is one more medium and would not prevent them from exercising their freedom of speech. But what they say had better be truthful.
