Thanks for the info, used TradeStation briefly (demo) last year, would own it if they could use the elcheapo DTN satellite feed vs BMI. Haven't looked into SCRT yet. WOW's DayTrader ? Hmmm, maybe, looked like the EOD version. Kinda clunky.

Would also like to screen for bid/ask spread. Let me have any equities with 1/2 point spread priced over $20, with 10+ ticks per minute, etc.

Re: Options (yo Steve) Owned ORCL JAN30C at $2.00 from the last dip. Thursday they were $3.75 bid, no problem. Yesterday stock drops 6%, options drop to $2.25 or 40%. Looks like the implied volatility went stratospheric. You're right, the spread + commission + slow execution + no L2 equiv bid/ask data, makes daytrading a typical equity option unrealistic. SPiDeRs & DIAmonds ? Don't know.

Jay

I'd have to disagree that tradestation can do the kind of scanning that you suggest on intraday data. In my experience, in order to achieve the kind of scanning you want, you'll need to have symbols in charts in workstations set up for each symbol you want to track. If you have a limited universe, this is OK, but if you want to track everything and get signals, you'd have to set up a LOT of charts and workspaces. It's chart scanner is not designed to work on intraday live data and Omega says that themselves.

But if I'm wrong on this, I'd love to know how you set things up to accomplish this.
