Mason, Obviously you have only spoken to dentists who own the stock and therefore like the product. I would suggest you broaden your horizon and call dentists all over the country. Listen carefully to what they are telling you and try not to argue with them. Ultimately the company can do a great job marketing but if it is not well received and if returns start rolling in then all of this conversation is meaningless (and so will be the stock price).

I think there are several things that anyone who is long this stock should consider:

1. During the conference call someone asked why there were only 12000 unit orders at the date of the conference when 6 weeks earlier the company had said there were 11000 orders. This means that orders had slowed down dramatically. The question was not answered satisfactorily.

2. Milestone has been sending out letters to dentists who wish to return the Wand asking them to please wait and extending the trial period. I think management knows there is a problem and is trying to delay it.

3. I think there is some controversy about not only the efficacy of the PDL injections but also the safety of using the Wand for that type injection. There may be permanent damage to nerves in the periodontal ligament. Proof of this would be a killer for Milestone.

4. I'm still not certain about how many of the units already delivered have been paid for. If they are being returned before they are paid for then that will definitely affect revenues this quarter and maybe even Q1.

Has anyone actually spoken to any dental supply reps to get a more definite idea about reasons for returns? BTW, thanks Dr Huckabee for sharing your experience with us.
