Fred, I think the EURO will have a substantial gold backing making it a premier world currency. Tricky Dick took us off the gold standard and AG has been printing greenbacks like there is no tomorrow. Both have mortgaged our future for short term glory. Rather than let us go thru the normal business cycle of rise and fall, they have extended this cycle to the mania point, crashes follow manias. When the EURO comes out with substantial gold backing, we will be forced to back with gold to compete, but we will have to pay substantially higher price. Where we gonna get the money, we are the worlds largest debtor nation? Greator Fools Day will not be just for celebrating stock market speculators. bwdik bb
