Larry, I understand your viewpoint and can certainly appreciate that a newcomer to the thread might not appreciate or misunderstand posts by Maurice, or me, or anyone else with a taste for jaded humor to liven up the daily grind. I see it as one of the problems of web based communication, as there's no body language to add to the message, as a result of which communications can go awry.
In any event, I take Doug's last post to heart and withdraw from the rancor of late. Have a nice weekend.
Regards, Mike Doyle

Maurice, once he gets a good rant going, generally SOUNDS a whole lot more outrageous and unsubstantiated than his central argument really is.

I.e., there is generally a whole lot of knowledge and accurancy underlying the glib flow of consciousness.

In my experience he is rarely actually off the wall on something that has a concrete answer. Just sounds off the wall on occassion due to all of surrounding, shall we say, viewpoints.

And so is entertaining as all get out. Unless of course he is aiming one of his depth charges squarely at me. Somehow that's always a bit less entertaining. <g>

Now don't get me wrong. I certainly don't always agree with the man down under. His "Price Now Is" thingy, dare I say, strikes me as perhaps a bit, well, unbalanced. (I can almost hear the incoming now. <g>) Though certainly thought provoking and perhaps quite workable. In a world filled more fully with Maurice's, that is.
