Bob, I use a simple modem connection.

I run two 'pooters. Each PC runs on a 33.6 modem.

One PC I run Real Tick III and nothing else. The page I use during the day has three Level II windows, A two minute chart of the futures, and three candle stick charts, a daily, a 15 minute, and a 5 minute, all with MA's. Some other stuff too. It works!

I hate bull-oney. So I'll tell you that page can demand ALOT of bandwidth. If you are trying to monitor three really fast stocks at once it's going to have trouble. Depending on what you do you may want to go with ISDN. For me it is just not needed at all.

The other PC runs MIRC and has two chatrooms going, #daytraders and the #MBTrading customer support channel.

Also one that PC I run a web browser and News Watch.

By the way, with the two pooters, I use two different ISP's. Believe me the ISP can be the weak link. If you are shopping around for an isp I have one suggestion.

Many have separate banks of equipment for 33.6 customers and for 56 customers, however no matter what modem you have, you can get 33.6 throughput out of either dial in number.

So one of my ISP's has got two different dial in numbers. If one goes down you can quickly get on with the other number! It hasn't happened lately, but back in february I was really glad I had an alternate way to get on line as they were having trouble.

So if you look for that it is a great way to get some redundancy for no extra cost.

Just try to pry out from the ISP's rep as many dial in numbers as you can.

Bob, congratulations, on getting on with MBT.

You are about to have the very best!
