Ya irbster, I was struggling with the nerves. It worked out just fine, but during the halt I was chatting with a trader who told me a horror story about being short a stock that was halted on a Friday. He spent all weekend counting chickens that were not quite hatched, on monday it was out the company was filing for bankruptcy.

But the stock gapped up many points, because it was brought to light that the company owned some N.Y property that was carried on the books at 50 year old valuations.

So of course that helped me feel even more upset. When GSCO came out with the second downgrade for the day, I calmed down some, but even with every thing pointing in favor of the shorts it was still awfully tense. I was just so thankful that it resumed trading yesterday, I can't imagine spending the whole weekend that upset.

What a roller coaster ride!
