Thing to remember in building a bridge is the amount of time and money spent in "tieing up traffic".......yes, STAX product is more expensive in initial cost of rebuilding bridges, but like the Woodrow Wilson bridge going over US 495 beltway around DC into Maryland, you do not want to "tie" up that bridge every 30 years to rebuild a corroding bridge just because you wanted to save 10 million dollars by using cheaper and corrodable material......sometimes its not the "cost" of the materials that impacts decision making......I beleive that states and nations are going to take this into account when choosing '"which "material is more cost effective.......If you wanted to purchase a vehicle for duration and time frame of keeping, would you go for the Mercedes or the Yugo???? I know it is a bad comparison, but sometimes bad makes good!!<<<GGG>>
