Bonnie, there has been some talk of a run on banks sometime next year because of the y2k thing. It struck me that an incentive would be required to prevent this. One that came to mind was high rates for leaving your money on deposit.. Just a rambling thought

Hey! That's the number I picked as what results from the Japanese gov't abandoning their currency controls and the Japanese people sending a few trillion over here to get out of falling stocks and 1% bonds!

With the two together, we've got 40,000 in the bag! :-)
