In this market you'd have a better chance of winning buying calls first thing Mon morning. It will be a good put opportunity. It currently isn't. To be completely safe I would wait until the split is actually effective or a little thereafter.

Share valuation shouldn't be in the equation.

On the split date, it will affect all shareholders of record on that date.

Your account will be credited with the additional shares and the next morning's quotes will be factored by 3, automatically.
