Insider Buying Analysis IMHO the recent 1,500 share purchase by the CFO is significant for the following reasons: 1) A press release dated 03/30/98 indicated that Mr. Steven C. Ramsey had accepted the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer with Immucor concurrent with the completion of his commitment to International Murex Technologies Corp. (MURXF). The fact that he has only been in office a short period and started to buy BLUD is a very positive sign. I'll bet that this is just the beginning of his buying spree as all 401K moneys, etc may be tied up by MURXF for approximately 90 days. Additionally, recent developments at MURXF indicate that it Mr. Ramsey made a wise decision leaving his prior employer and financially benefitted through his MURXF holdings as detailed below. 2) Do-diligence suggests that Mr. Ramsey may have been privy to insider information that Abbott Laboratories was about to acquire MURXF. By the by, that is exactly what happened. Hmmmmmm biz.yahoo.com Once the transaction is complete and stock/cash is received from Abbott Mr. Ramsey can liquidate some holdings and purchase more BLUD in the open market. The fact that Mr. Ramsey was involved in the MURXF acquisition by Abbott is also positive news.
