You guys have no idea what you're talking about. If you two are going to stroke something, make sure there's something to stroke. Your Wired-quoted definitional roles of the past do not apply. The way I see it, your criticism should be the same as my own: A mistake was made when the company did not define Mr. Meatchem's role as that of an "interim CEO." The evidence you cite could well come from disgruntlement. Do you even know if Mr. Meatchem became disgruntled? At least pose that which you don't know in the realm of the possible, rather than try and paint a fact using a fictional brush.
