To all, FWIW,
I have recently read several comments stating that the stock hasn't appreciated in the last 5 years. Reading the current proxy statement, I see that the stock has gone up 9-fold over the past 5 years; am I missing something here? The current price is about even (7 percent below) where it was 4 years ago though. Perhaps this was the comparision trying to be made.

I remember looking at this stock when it was at about $18 in the 93/94 period, before I could evaluate and buy it had zoomed up to near $30. Fortunately, I passed on it then. Client mix looks a lot better now. Investors who bought during that period have been sitting on their money for too long, I agree. Seems to be an inherent risk of an issue like this though. If I remember right, MOT accounted for over 3/4 of the business back then.

Hi Michael....

I can't speak for the rest of them, Michael...but in terms of "class action" work, I think I would prefer *you*.

As for the rest of TFS's lawyers, it should be noted that one of them is Jeff Buchanan. Although I wasn't exactly pleased when he was brought in (as it looked like a classic case of nepotism), I have come to think that we are not being poorly served by his presence. (Interestingly, it is my understanding that his legal experience involves a variety of issues connected to mergers and acquisitiions. I believe I find that somewhat humorous considering that TFS has made a *studied* effort to avoid purchasing compatible companies and/or technologies.)

Anyway, it is unfortunate that because of his family connections, outsiders will never know *absolutely* whether his loyalty is more to the "boss" or to the shareholders. And, I fear, this will permanently be so until the elder Mr. Buchanan retires.

Have a good day.
