Die shrinks will require new lithography tools, better CMP, better test equipt. - favoring ASMLF, AMAT, and TER, among others. There may be other factors that I'm not familiar with, since this is obviously not my area of expertise! But my question remains - is this die shrink business enough, along with a little bit for the 300mm pilot lines, to support the earnings estimates projected for 1999, or are those due to be revised downward, supporting the bears' case?
