Corel doesn't have a chance in this market space because they have failed to develop any modern software products based on their own design and implementation. A solid process can turn the work of mediocre developers into gold. Too many companies rely on a few key employees to make or break the product with insufficent oversight and Corel fits that model. Others follow an inflexible recipe and end up with a pile of documents and no product. Java and general OO development have added a whole new dimension to the importance of process. If you are lucky enough to Once you have a well designed extensible core and disciplined enough to stick to a proven development process, the sky is the limit. This stock doesn't have much of a following right now and that's good for those who have been accumulating. Aside from Polly Graff and Count Urmoni on the Yahoo threads (gotta love those screen names), I don't see much discussion.
