I am new to CPQ but have followed DEC for several years. What is the view of the merger between the two companies on this thread? If anyone
has any good posting # from the past I sure would like to go back and read them so I don't take up any of your time rehashing and old subject. It has been awhile since I read anything on DEC, but I remember them having a ton of cash is this still true? Thanks in advance.

Eddie, Elwood P. posted a link to cbs marketwatch earlier today which stated that network computers were being ousted by the sub 1-K's. That's why oracle was off Friday. Do you expect orcl's application business to pick up by the fall causing an increase in stock price? dulane

Eddie, I hope you are right (I am long CPQ), but the DEC merger is getting mixed reviews(did you see the recent - 3/10/98 - article by Geoffrey James)?
