Basically, the 64DD is a magnetic drive-based device that uses media
units very similar to Zip Drive disks. A simplified comparison is to see them as gigantic floppy disks,holding 64 megabytes of data each.

These disks are not CD-ROMs(Compact Disks -- Read Only Memory), and won't play CDs, like the Saturn and PlayStation.
