Zeev,

Thanks for the comments. No...I had not forgotten the trillions sitting in savings in Japan earning less then 1%. You are right that it is a huge pent up demand. But it is also held by very very cautious people, who recently have watched their own government turn in very disappointing performance. What I am speculating on is the form that this investment will take when and if it does come to the U.S. Stocks, bonds, t-bills? Probably not real estate. But you are right to point out that it only takes a small percentage of these funds to lend buoyancy to the market.

Re: Asia, you may have noticed that Thailand and Malaysia have also had a series of down days now, the renewed fall I have been expecting for some time? The bank and finance dram unfolds. Here in Malysia the Chinese business community is the sector that sits on large amounts of stashed cash. The government has acknowdleged that by relaxing the bumiputera ownership rules. There is a quietwindow shopping spree going on. A couple of stories I have heard already: a holding company primarily in automotive parts shopping a cardiovascular hospital and a development & construction company shopping a restrauant chain. I am sure the list would be interesting.

Best,
Stitch
