Richard, again thank you for your response on Statement 2.

All I can say, Richard, is give me a break. You stated "Oracle doesn't offer an integrated solution," and now you're talking integration of hardware & software -- no wait a minute you must be talking applications because you've raised the issue of competition from PSFT, BAANF & SAPHY. No, I'm sorry, its the operating system, of course. Wrong again, its desktop applications.

Did you by chance ever work at MSFT? You see, other companies offer their customers a choice in what they want to purchase. If the average customer adopts your vision of "an integrated solution" there would be only one choice -- MSFT. I think I'm beginning to understand you now, Richard.

"The government has done nothing to stop Microsoft and it is doubtful they ever will. This is just a political move by Orin Hatch (from Utah) to attack Microsoft because Novell is in his home state."

Richard, what do you know about politics & anti-trust law? Are you an expert in these areas as well? Your assessment of the Federal Govt & its ability to contain MSFT monopolistic practices are truly misplaced. Consider how MSFT more recently changed its posture in responding to Congressional inquiries, court orders & the like. DOJ will not rest until it is satisfied that the threat MSFT poses to competitive markets & consumer choice is removed -- & today that threat is ever present.

Now for the non-substantive portion of your response.

"Sounds like your expounding phrases because you lack understanding of the material involved: "the network is the computer". Sometimes a computer is just a computer and a network is just a network."

Good retort, Richard. What I meant was that the future of computing is moving away from the desktop toward a remote server closer to the center of the network. The desktop will more as an interface.

"Therefore it sounds to me like all you do is toss out remarks about how great SUN and ORACLE are but with with no meat to it. Where's the beef?"

Just because I use an expression by Scott McNealy of SUNW you think I view SUNW to be great? Not only can you not write, you cannot read.

You know, the more I deal with you Richard in really trying to understand what you're talking about, the more I believe you really don't know what you're talking about & are just responding with disjointed unorganized thoughts you keep in your head with no idea how to organize them & communicate them into a rationale argument.
