SAF: I don't think it can be earnings. Soundview analysts were just at PLAT on 25 March 1998, and reinforced its short-term buy rec with a short term price target of $37. Their comments were as follows: "Our visit with PLATINUM yesterday leaves us feeling very comfortable with our short-term buy recommendation. Management continues to execute crisply and the current quarter sounds like it is solid. Our price target is $37. " It's got to be something else.... R/
