Paul, thanks for your comments regarding the land drillers. Yes
things have slowed down, but I feel that is already reflected in
the share prices. I own UTI, BDI, PTEN and NBR. Estimates on
three of them have been substantially reduced(UTI from .30 to
.24------BDI from .19 to .10-------- and PTEN from .25 to .15)
NBR's estimates have only been reduced from .40 to .39, and
I believe that may have resulted in NBR's recent price weakness.

Am I concerned with earnings just around the corner? Always,
but I feel pretty confident about BDI and UTI given reduced
expectations and the fact that both are mainly drilling natural
gas. Also, someone on this board or AOL recently talked to the
CFO at BDI, and he sounded extremely confident that they would
meet expectations. Likewise UTI's press release after their last
quarter sounded very confident of the future.

I am somewhat concerned with PTEN, and very concerned with NBR.
I may lighten up on PTEN, and get rid of NBR over the next couple
weeks.
