thanks monty, your 2 cents is worth more than that :) just out of curiosity if you sell shares and you aren't selling all your shares and you bought in at different prices for the purposes of taxes when calculating profit how do you know what to calculate WHICH lot has been sold? I know unless you call a broker on the phone to SPECIFY which lot, then it is anybody's guess which lot was actually sold i know the bottomline in profits is the same but tax implications aren't
