And everyone saw the HLIT insider buying report in Barron's last week?
This week, Bob Gabele highlights this trend (part 5 of 5):

===============

The Inside Story -5-: Oil Holders Hold On To Shares

Elsewhere, the beaten-down oil and gas sector not only has seen
insiders holding on to their shares but accumulating at current price
levels as well. Other companies where we have been monitoring recent
insider buying appear in a table nearby.

While much has changed in tracking insider transactions, one verity
remains: Nobody knows as much about a given company than the folks who
run it. Not even Dr. Heisenberg can change that.

BOB GABELE is president of CDA/Investnet, a Fort Lauderdale company
that specializes in analysis of insider data.

Tim: Thanks for the article. This latest development sounds promising, and it's especially encouraging to know that while TCI hunkered down and stopped upgrading, they continued working with Antec and HLIT to design a better mousetrap.

Check out the following article on TCI's upgrade plans from Broadband Bob at catv.org.
It includes the following reference to TCI offering @Home via satellites:

>>In addition to growing data subs over its HFC systems, TCI is investigating opportunities for offering @Home over satellite networks (yes "@Home in the sky"). The MSO is currently in discussions with Loral, which is already planning to offer data services under the name, "CyberStar." An @Home satellite service would compete directly with DirecTV's DirectPC service. However, the proposed @Home in the sky would be a bi-directional high-speed service, eliminating the need for a telco-return. <<

Anyone know anything about Loral's technology? Would New Media's expertise in delivering broadband services over satellite come into play?
