RCD,

Whoa, lighten up! I enjoyed your post. You are right that I am currently net long stocks. I was simply amused with the no-holes-barred optimism of your post, and wanted to respond.

The stock market is currently relatively highly valued, however. When I say that, I refer to the average p/e ratio of the entire market, among other market valuation methods. Extensive historic data on these market valuation methods is available on Barrons.com dating back to when dust was granite. Anyone saying that the current market situation is 'different', and unlike any other historic market would do well to spend some time studying that information.

I do love your optimism, and I am net long. But, given the current high valuations, and the current overall interest rate, it would be astute to watch your holdings closely, have some stops in place, and listen to the financial news regularly.

May your longs be up, your shorts down, and your holdings prosperous.

Good Investing.
