sr--

oh, i was only commenting on what would happen to WSTL. it is really suprising to me since my friends had info on this way before i did. someone leaked this GTE/ORCTF contract to them in december or january.

ORCTF? until we get all the details, i am looking for upside to aroynd 21, possible up to 23. with the details, and if they are good, i would say your estimate of 25 is probably on the money.

however, the damage to WSTL probably will not be too severe. as i said, many have been expecting this, which is most fo the reason the stock has lagged. however, i think the concentration of resources is going to the CLEC division of GTE. they want to hedge their bets based on what the FCC might do. if the FCC is really stupid, GTE could run their CLEC in their ILEC region at a significant savings and not have to share resources. the FCC may play its hand so well against the ILECs that they all start CLEC and just maneuver around any FCC mandates. bottom line, the ILECs are tired of waiting and are going to move.

good luck to all,
trey
