Some news from the Yahoo board (4/3):

As we enter the summer months I think you are correct. I work in the oil and gas industry in Louisiana and natural gas prices are what keeps food on my family's dinner table. We do a lot of work for Ensco Marine aboard their anchor handling vessels.
They are all on term contracts and do not spend a day without being on someone's payroll. The deep water discoveries in the Gulf of Mexico, beginning with the Shell Auger project, are what is fueling the current boom here in Louisiana. Also, 3-D seismic has brought about new discoveries in shallow water fields that were once thought to be depleted. With the tax breaks the majors are getting for deep water productiion and the amounts of oil and gas being produced from these discoveries, it is estimated that this boom should last another five to seven years. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. If I'm right then I'll cash in and retire.

Doug and thread, I just increased my ESV holdings by one third
at 27 1/4. If this isn't value, I don't know what is. ESV is
for LT.
