Re: CONTEST I agree that the contest postings have value to the thread and would prefer them to continue on-thread. It was suggested some time back that the Reasons for contest picks might be posted with the picks. I think this would be a great idea. Not that it should be mandatory, of course. Giving reasons, and the questioning and disagreement that followed would be helpful to all, especially those who are less knowledgeable(I mean me.) It would make us richer faster, and hasten the day when I get on the plane to come to the party with a big bag of foods unavailable to those in the hinterlands, including lots of the NYC salsa Texans favor.* best regards, diana *article in the NY Times this morning about the Brooklyn + Staten Island Salsa Company.
