Excellent Post Pure Folder! I would like to add one point as to why, IMO an IBM OFFICIAL announcement has not taken place, Yet! If what Steven Sprague said is true, IBM will be distributing approximately 10 Wave enabled software titles, via CD/DVD with each purchase of (?) IBM computer. If that is the case then Wave is forced to not only find the right software companies but also enter into many negotiations, which takes time. Given that Wave only announced the IBM deal around Christmas, that has given them only 3 months to search for content and negotiate a distribution deal. Plus, agreeing on terms could be very difficult since there is no past history of performance, an un-defined distribution schedule of wave meters and how do you put a value on the business model of micro-payment e-commerce proposed by Wave, (e.g. "How much will the market produce over time"? Answer: They guess and of course the numbers are "Off the Chart"! Now egos come into play during negotiations because each software developer thinks their program is the BEST and should get a bigger share of the profits...which don't exist yet! Bottom line, when you have a brand new business model that requires a leap of faith commitment to a new (potential) standard of e-commerce, negotiations can be difficult. And IMO, an announcement can not take place until all the ducks are lined up and looking good. That is, why announce only a metering solution to e-commerce when you can spice up your press release with a "Bundling" program. This would trigger an alarm in the Direct Marketing Industry that a "New sampling and distribution revolution is about to take place". The next thing that happens is many different companies want to get involved, which peaks the interest of the other computer OEMs and a tidal WAVE begins. "Kowa Bonga"....Catch the Wave.........John
