Thean, thanks for the kind words. I had dinner with my friend who is
a self described bottom feeder as a oil producer whose properties
are in Louisiana. In a word , he said he was fighting WW3.
I tried to suggest that the worst was behind (as far as crude prices)
but I have never seen him so sick.
I cant help but feel for the smallish and independent producers
where there is a good bit of leverage involved because reserves
are(were?) so bankable. I had hoped that he was more involved
in nat gas.

Thean, my thought on NBR was that all land driller's EPS will be down
in the first quarter, and since NBR's estimates haven't been reduced
appreciably, they have the best chance of not meeting expectations.
True, they are the king of the land drillers, but they must be
experiancing some slowness. I shouldn't say that, since I own them,
but I do plan to exit within the next two weeks.

Sorry, I can't help you with the BDI post. I read it either here, or
over on AOL, in the last two weeks. Their CFO was very positive about how they were doing and their ability to meet expectations for the
quarter. No recent UTI comments, I was referring to their very optimistic press release which came along with last quarter's results.

Speaking of high flyers, how about shorting YHOO on the 15th. I
keep thinking it can't go any higher, but I've been wrong before.

I bought a small position in NBR on Friday, based strictly on Stochastics TA. It looks like it's at the bottom of it's downcycle & ready to turn back around soon (like Monday would be nice). We shall see.
