An awful lot of people are assuming that WSTL will trade slightly down if there is the much anticipated Orctf-GTE Ilec announcement on Tuesday, and then whipsaw back. Whipsaw? I always thought stocks catch us all by surprise in the short term. :-)

If orctf is getting GTE ilec, even if its for a temporary solution...1.) I still assume it will last awhile before a DSLAM contract is announced, so don't expect Wstl to play in the ilec arena at gte in the next months imo... and 2. It still is not good news for WSTL. If Westell has no good news to announce over next few weeks, it could trend down more than a 1/2 point easily. I do believe, like many here that the downside is not too great on Wstl, considering their LU partnership, BEL connects, and an explosive market waiting to take off in the next year (as has been the case for more than a year ;-).

As always, its patience. Great article Hiram! Still waiting for the DSLAM (along with Trey) they promised. Who knows, a big win for any adsl company right now might bring them all up, bc signs of deployment are finally getting more ambitious.

all imho

dave--

who knows? the MMs will take advantage, but they cant do it too far.

the game has shifted all around, and the street is starting to realize exactly how strong WSTL is with LU and TXN. TXN needs WSTL badly. and, we could not hope for stronger partners.

that being said, another one that gets left out in all this is a MOT/ siemens connection. i am looking for it soon.

good luck to all,
trey
