What will require the processing power is speech recognition that can recognize anybody's voice, without training, with a huge vocabulary, and can make decisions about syntax, homonyms etc based on content and meaning. I believe this will require the neural net type of product that many are working on, i.e. IBM, fonix etc. My understanding of this is it requires considerable processing power.
