Bosco,
SIII is longterm quite a safe play at current levels. Look their upcoming product (vortex or so it's going to be called) should adress their primary weakness in grafix sector mid-term: decent 3D performance. In they meantime they licensed the Cirrus design (Rambus DRAM) which makes perfect sense. If they just licensed a top 3D engineer powerhouse as well <G>. RDRAM will give them a speedboost but the 3d improvement will be out there mid-term, not within a short time. Expect to wait 1 year or so before the product I'm talking about should hit the market.

Also, they embarked on other niches: Audio p.e. Their sonic vibes is a technically compelling conecpt. There are many cheap & midpriced PCI soundcards out there employing this circuit. It's a winner. Also they could get into the core logic business.

I think one should buy SIII as a nice longer term hold (turnaround play) on weakness. Hoever timing wise I see a drop to the $6 level soon, where should be significant supporrt. That be also a good opportunity to get into it..

regards
CROSSY
