Oh, I know that logically, David. Emotionally I'm just not prepared to do that.

Logically I see many opportunities to short a lot of blue chips in 1999. Am considering doing that. Don't know if I will or not. Just against my grain. Seems SO un-American to WANT something to go down or fail so I can make money off of the misery of others.

At the same time I accept the concept of shorting. What I find reprehensible is when some "shorts" spread dis-information to shake out weak hands.
