GMF,

Heck of a buy on the system!

As for investing! Tough call! Take your 'best' shot! Stay 'out' maybe lose some $! Get 'in' maybe lose some $!

How about 1/2 now and 1/2 later>

Best of luck!

Regards,

Ken

I thought that you might want to know that you still got an excellent price on your computer. I just received the MicroWarehouse a couple of days ago. On the front they mention the $500 Compaq PC, but if you look inside and compare the prices for the PII computers the prices are much higher for a similar Dell system. For example the Deskpro 6000 system they sell for $1979 includes only 32MB ram, 2.1GB Hard Drive, no monitor, no modem and no speakers. By the time you upgrade to get a system equivalent to the Dell system, I am sure that the price for the Compaq will be much higher.

IMO the $500 Compaq computer is useless because it does not have a CDROM, Modem, Graphics Cards, Sound Card or enough RAM or Hard Drive space to run Windows 95. I hope that one day the analyst will pay attention and see that the $500 computer does not exist and the network PC is not selling.

As you can tell I am long on Dell

Go Dell
