Looks like "thestreet.com" is taking Y2k more seriously by covering a Y2k conference in Atlanta next week. Does anyone know if TAVA is scheduled? But with Cory reporting perhaps its better that TAVA isn't talking (unless the company can change his fickle opinion with solid news and numbers). Also, I came across in "Federal Computer Week" that the Army is hosting a Y2k Conference, April 13-15 at the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City, Virginia. Lt. General William Campbell said the conference is of "vital importance to everyone who faces the Y2K problem, especially support contractors". biff _________________ TSC Helps Answer Those Millennial Questions The millennium is getting closer all the time. And with it, more and more is getting written about the still-mysterious Year 2000 computer problem. As many of you already know, it seems that all of those computer code jockeys, in the interest of saving time, space and money, built a little problem into our computerized world. In some older code, the two-digit date system is not geared to recognize a new century. And we've got one right around the corner. Several companies have proclaimed themselves Y2K fixers, and many of these companies will be in Atlanta this week for a Y2K company conference. Our West Coast bureau chief, Cory Johnson, will come east of the Mississippi to cover the conference, and we look forward to hearing about the latest news from the Y2K frontier. With the millennium approaching, these stocks have become as volatile as biotechs deep into Phase III trials. Cory will spend the week sorting through the winners and the pretenders.
