Very fascinating indeed. I hope some anthropologists are studying them in depth so that we know more about them. I wish I could see that documentary too but I have no idea at this point how to go about it. Since they are living up in the mountains some 13000 feet high with no roads etc it would be rather difficult to get there to find out more about them. The painting certainly looks very vibrant and colorful and the picture of the 'god' has some very minor chinese attributes to it and the flags in the background reminds me of ancient Chinese flags that one seen in Chinese paintings then again I don't know this particular style was popular in the region in general in those days. Judging from the name of the 'god' it looks like the language has some affinity to Sanskrit or one of its derivatives,perhaps a mixture of various languages in the region. Anyway I am going to see I can find out little bit more about them.
