Here is a passage from the book: "If MSFT made toasters, it would disable all the other toasters, and secretly query the rest of the kitchen appliances to see what other features it could copy."

After watching the show and now knowing what MSFT plans are ... w/r/t to killing 3coms' palmpilot ... I am simply going to return it and avoid the aggravation. Why would you return an excellent, working product just because of some vapor-ware that won't be around for a while? If it handles your needs, why not use it? In a couple of years, you can always switch. But then again, you may not need to, if the PalmPilot continues to work for you.
